This spring, Matt McQuaid had a decision to make: He could hold playing the video game he loves, the one he rode to Remaining Four heights and overseas contracts, or he could go back again to Michigan Condition.

Considering the fact that he finished with the Spartans in the 2019 Ultimate 4, McQuaid played just one year in Germany and one particular with the Canton Charge, the Cleveland Cavaliers’ affiliate in the G League. He experienced a further chance to perform overseas once more, just as the environment was re-opening following the pandemic and the adrenaline flowed to get again into a gymnasium.

But in the finish, he chose the Spartans.

“It was absolutely difficult. I’ve just been actively playing basketball my total daily life,” McQuaid stated. “I’m Okay with hanging it up. It can be a single matter I am at peace with.”
