Former Oregon Ducks wing Eric Williams officially closed the door on his higher education career Sunday evening, revealing in a tweet that he is scheduling to forego his last yr of eligibility and will use an agent to enable him commence his expert vocation.
Williams had already manufactured it very clear he was not scheduling to return to Oregon, stating in late March that he was entering the transfer portal and did not (at that time) have plans to sign with an agent so he could hold his solutions open up.
Now it seems to be like the 6’6 combo guard will be coming into the NBA draft procedure soon after averaging 8.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists for Oregon in his final year.
Williams commenced his collegiate career at Duquesne, in which he performed two seasons before transferring to Oregon, sitting out in 2019-20, and then taking part in a major job in each of the previous two seasons for coach Dana Altman.
Williams will be a tough player to substitute in Eugene, although there are a handful of proficient wing gamers offered through the transfer portal that Altman and his personnel no question have their eyes on.
